Welcome to day one of #MyHeartThisChristmas. Today I am sharing a simple yoga routine and talk on how grief can take a physical toll on your body.
If you have a moment, before watching the video consider doing some or all of the following:
Find a quiet time in your daily routine where you won’t be interrupted, feel judged, or uneasy. This video is about 3o minutes long.
Have a journal and pen handy, in case you want to jot down the poses for the future to practice at your own pace.
Burn candles or diffuse essential oils in your space to help you to relax.
Have a yoga block, a rolled up blanket or a phone book handy in case you want to use it as a prop to help you with the poses.
Play some gentle instrumental music. YouTube has lots of “massage” music that is very relaxing for yoga.
Most of all, be gentle on yourself. Let your body, your breath and your heart be your guide. No one knows your pain like you do. Physical and emotional. Honor your space in grief, whatever that might look like right now.
