Abiding Hope Collages and Letting Go

When I entered this world of grief I never imagined that the place I was in would ever change. One good example is I never thought I would be able to laugh again, or have an appetite for that matter.

Things change.

I’ve been struggling with something for a few months now and I thought I might share it here.

A few years ago I started Abiding Hope Collages. It is a memorial site that gets flooded pretty easily by requests to create name collages for children that have passed away. It was something that I needed to do at the time. If you’ve lost a child you know what I mean. You need something tangible to do, or you think you’re going to go crazy. It’s something I honestly wish I had more time for.

I’ve learned since losing Jenna that change is not always a bad thing. The wait time on these collages has been ridiculous because there are just not enough hours in the day to juggle everything.

I have decided that it would be best to let go of this one, but before I do I would love to know if there is one person that might be interested in carrying it on.

I will be finishing up the collages in the wait list, and continue to do them as best as I can until one person can take this on.

If you are at all interested, I use a free open share software called GIMP to do just about everything, including these collages.

Please email me or message me on facebook if you are interested.

Lots of love to you today!

  1. I hope you are able to find someone who wants to take it on. I would consider it but I already don’t have as much time as I need to get things done!

  2. Hey! I can’t open the link to this for some reason, but if you haven’t gotten anyone to help you with this I might be interested. I’m new to reading your blog, but I would love to be involved with something like this. Three years ago our first daughter was stillborn, so each year I’ve been doing something for the hospital, this year we delivered blankets for the NICU, but I would love to be able to do more. Let me know if you’ve already found someone, and that’s totally fine. Just thought I’d check. :)
